Cumpleaños y regalo - Birthday and give away

¡Mañana cumplo 40 años!
(y se que no soy la única en la blogosfera...:) )
Estoy feliz (parece increible pero si! ja,ja). He preparado una cena con su fiestecita para mi familia y amigos, que la haré el 9 de Enero cuando todo el mundo haya vuelto de sus vacaciones.
Siempre intento ser optimista aunque la vida puede ser muy dura. Al fin y al cabo tengo my familía (un hijo y un marido fantásticos),mis padres y hermanos, mi trabajo y mis amigos. Y a esta edad me siento bien conmigo misma, alguna arruga más pero ¡que importa!. Creo que celebrar años es bueno y quiero celebrarlo con todas aquellas personas que llenan de un modo o otro mi vida así que no podía olvidar a mis amigos-as de los blogs.
Me encantaría poder teneros a tod@s en mi fiesta pero como estáis esparciados por toda España y el mundo se hace un poco difícil. Así que para celebralo con vosotros os invito a un sorteo. El sorteo de un regalo que enviaré a quien toque (quién gane podrá escoger que es lo que quiere, lo haré especialmente para ella-él). Solo tenéis que dejar un comentario con un deseo para el 2010. Tomorrow I will turn 40 years!!!
(and I not the only one in blogland..I know :) )
And I am happy (it seems incredible but... LOL). I have prepared a dinner and a party for my friends and family on January 9th (waiting for people that is on holiday).
I am try to be always so optimistic although life can be so though...I am happy because I have my family (a wonderful son and husband) with me, my paretes and brothers, my friends and my job and because at this age I feel comfortable with myself, (more wrinkles but this is not important). Celebrate birthdays is something good so I want to celebrate with all the people that fill my life in different ways so I could not forget my blog friends.
I wish you had come to my birthday party next January but as you live around Spain or around the world I want to invite you for a draw, for a give away. Leave a comment with a wish for the new year and I will be glad to send you a gift (you will choose what you want, I will make it specially for you). I will announce the winner on January 2nd...

Intercambio de Navidad - Christmas SWAP

Primero de todo desearos una FELIZ NAVIDAD con la gente a la que queréis y que el 2010 venga lleno de buenas cosas y salud, muuuuuuuucha salud. FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!!
Por fin, hoy en Nochebuena he podido abrir mi regalo del intercambio de Navidad organizado por Rosanna. El intercambio era en círculo y os recuerdo que había unas normas:
-Una sola cosa navideña
-no podía ser ni rojo ni verde
-debía ir envuelto en un recipiente inusual.

Al ser en círculo yo recibía un regalo de la talentosa Debie de Piskies and Poppets y yo se lo regalaba a Sylvia de Lotjesdollshouse.

Y aquí tenéis lo que Debie ha hecho para mi: un precioso niño envuelto en su arrullo. Super delicado y detallado y muy pequeñín. Un OOAK precioso. Estoy muy muy contenta!! Las fotos no muestran la belleza de este regalo.

First of all I want to wish you Merry Christmas with your dearest and a new year 2010 full of good things coming and health, lots of health . HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Finally, today on Christmas eve I could open my Christmas SWAP organized by Rosanna. It has been a circle SWAP and we have to follow some rules:
-Only one Christmas item
-could not be either red or green
-should be wrapped in an unusual container.

Being in a circle I received a gift from the talented and Debie from Piskies of Poppets and I gave it to Sylvia Lotjesdollshouse.

And here is the picture of what I have received from Debie: the most beautiful swaddled baby. Super delicate, detailed and very tiny. A wonderful OOAK. I am very very happy! The pictures does not show the beauty of this gift.

Un dia fantástico - A wonderful day

Hoy el cartero ha traido dos paquetes a casa de mis amigas de la blogosfera... El primero que ha llegado or la mañana, ha sido de una de mis más queridas mini amigas del otro lado del mundo, de Singapur: Susan, conocida por todos como Sans de Dollhouses Diaries (un blog que no os podéis perder, creedme).

Sans escribe uno de los blogs más originales que hay en la blogosfera, está construyendo un palacio de un maharajá montando escenas increibles llenas de detalles e incluso de humor.

A veces leer sus entradas en el blog es como leer pequeños cuentos o historias donde puedes encontrarte mil sorpresas e incluso estar ambientados con música o videos complementarios.
Fijaos en estos pequeñísimos aguanta libros para mi librería. ¡Son fantásticos! Me he emocionado cuando los he visto porque no esperaba algo así, tan chiquitin y además preciosos. Gracias Susan, de momento los he colocado provisionalmente en la escena, hasta que decida su posición definitiva.

Today the postman has brought home two packages from my friends from the blogosphere ...
The first one has arrived or the morning, was one of my dearest mini friend from the other part of the world, Singapore: Susan, known by Sans from Dollhouses Diaries (a blog that you can not miss, believe me).
Sans writes one of the most original blogs that exists in the blogland, she is building a maharaja' palace with incredible scenes full of details and even of sense humor.
Sometimes to read her blog is like to read small wonderful stories where you can find thousand of surprises and even to be ambiented with music or complementary videos.
Look at these tiny little bookends for my withchy bookcase. They are fantastic! I have excited when I saw them because I never could expect something so tiny and precious. Thanks Susan, now I have temporarily placed at the scene, until I decide its final position.



Por la tarde el cartero ha vuelto otra vez... Esta vez el paquete llegaba desde Francia de mi encantadora amiga Catherine. El blog de Catherine está lleno de cosas bonitas que me relajan cada dia y me hacen sonreir y ver el lado amable de la vida: recetas de cocina, decoración, fotos, viajes...Y ella es un encanto.
El paquete era inmenso y lleno de cosas fantásticas para saborear y decorar. Estoy muy feliz :)

In the afternoon the postman has come again ...
This time the package arrived from France to my lovely friend Catherine. Catherine's blog is full of beautiful posts that relax me every day and make me smile and seeing the bright side of life, recipes, decorations, photos, trips ... and she is a very charming woman.
The parcel was huge and full of things to taste and garnish. I am very happy.

Compras - Purchases

Estos días abundan los mercados de Navidad (en mi tierra les llamamos Mercat de Santa Llúcia, el mercado de Santa Lucía, que por cierto es hoy)
Es un buen momento para comprar pequeñas miniaturas a buen precio. Yo siempre compro básicos, como cestas y recipientes, que después pintaré y/o decoraré según el uso que les vaya a dar.
De todas maneras me enamoré de este pequeño barreño oxidado lleno de agua con su pájaro (de la artesana Alicia Torres, buena amiga de mi padre) y también del pequeño ratón "robando" el queso (y al que os aseguro que no le va a atrapar la trampa porque a mi los ratones me gustan mucho)

Those days there are Christmas markets in a lot of different cities around the world (Where I live, we call them Mercat de Santa Llúcia (this is in Catalán, the English translation would be Santa Lucia market, bytheway the celebration is today).
You can find a lot of different miniatures at good prices. I always buy some basic baskets and recipients that I will paint and/or decorate depending on what I will need.
This year I have fallen in love of this little rusty tub full of water with the yellow bird )made by the artisan Alicia Torres, friend of my father) and also the little mouse "stealing" cheese (I assure you that the trap is not going to catch him because I love mice )

También compré cosas en tamaño real, dos cajas (una de madera y otra de lata) muy románticas y muy de estilo shabby chic, ¿verdad?, un corazón para colgar en al puerta de mi armario (tengo otros tres en diferentes estilos) y el colgador blanco.

I also bought some things in real size: two boxes (wood and tin) very romantic and shabby chic, right?, a heart for my wardrobe door (I have three more of different styles) and the white hanger.


Y me enamoré de estas piedras perfumadas con una maravillosa fragancia para mis cajones. Con forma de galletas y de unos pequeños renos. Compré varios para regalar a las mujeres de mi familia :) También son de tamaño real.

And I fell in love with these scented stones with a wonderful fragrance for my drawers. With biscuit and reindeer shapes. I bought several to give in Christmas to the women of my family. They are also real size.

Regalo de Teresa - Gift from Teresa

En Noviembre fue el cumpleaños de Teresa, de Marigold Manor. Lo celebró haciendo regalos todas las semanas y yo fui una de las afortunadas. Una maravillosa caja de regalo con una clásica galleta de gengibre pintada en la tapa. La verdad es que es más bonita en persona que en las fotografías. Está muy bien pintada, con todo detalle por Teresa y ha sido tan amable de añadir algunos dulces y los chocolates (los Hershey's Kisses). Gracias Teresa, me gusta muchísimo.

In November was Teresa's birthday, from Marigold Manor. She celebrated it by giving gifts every week and I was one of the lucky ones. A wonderful gingerbread keepsake box. The truth is that is prettier than in pictures. It is very well painted and detailed byTeresa and she has been so kind add some sweets and chocolates (the Hershey's Kisses). Thanks Teresa, I love it.

¿Hay alguien ahí? - is there anybody there?

Hacía ya unos días que no escribía. No he estado parada sino que he estado haciendo muchas cosas, en la vida real y también en la de las manualidades. Regalos para Navidad, decorar el árbol, el nacimiento (en España es muy típico), hacer listas de tareas pendientes, mi hijo estvo muy muy resfriado y con fiebre (no gripe pero cerquita), yo también no estuve del todo bien (ahora ya totalmente recuperada) y muy cansada...
También estuve muy entretenida haciendo mi intercambio navideño, el organizado por Rosanna. Mi regalo ya está en su nuevo hogar, en casa de Sylvia en Holanda, esperando ser abierto por Nochebuena.
Mi librería de brujas avanza y aquí os dejo un pequeño trocito hecho casi por completo de Pro-Sculpt (me encanta). Le falta algun detallito como un pqueño sapo que estoy repintando y ¿creeis que puedo hacer una pequeña planta carnívora? No sé si me saldrá, ya veremos.
Creo que acabaré repintando los labios del duendecillo porque me parecen demasiado rosas :)
A ver que os parece, pronto llegará el resto de la escena...

It has been a while since last post I wrote. I have been doing many things in real life and also in the crafts. Gifts for Christmas, decorating the tree, the Nativity scene (in Spain is very typical), to-do lists, my son was ill (not the flu was very close to it ), I was ill too (now I am completely fine) and I was very tired....
I was also very busy making my Christmas SWAP, the one organized by Rosanna. My gift is already in their new home at Sylvia's in Holland, waiting to be opened in Christmas eve.
My witchy bookcase moves on and here I leave you a small piece made almost entirely with Pro-Sculpt (I love). It lacks some minor detail like a tiny toad I'm repainting and perhaps... do you think I can make a small carnivorous plant? we'll see if I could do something similar...
I think I will repaint the elf lips because they look too pink:)
