Curso de helados en mi casa - Ice cream workshop in my home

Ayer por la tarde mi casa se convirtió en una fiesta. Angeles, que es de Ibiza, venía de visita a Terrassa, mi ciudad, y eso nos sirvió de "excusa" para montar una tarde de amigas y miniaturas. Y además me aproveché de su buena fe y paciencia para dar un taller de como hacer helados con arcilla polimérica y un poco de pan. Al ser profesora novata, tengo que decir que fueron muy buenas alumnas, revoltosas je, je, pero muy buenas. Y sino ya veréis los resultados y lo bien que salieron los mini helados.

Vinieron 7 miniaturistas: Angeles, Ascensión, Eva-Tatalamaru, Laura dueña de la tienda de minis de Barcelona Evolve Miniaturas (tenéis que ir a verla),  las Malu's (Mª Luisa madre y Malu hija) y Yolanda.

Muchas risas, regalos, merienda, cava...todo ello más la experiencia de dar un taller-curso de algo que me apasiona, hicieron que fuera una tarde inolvidable y super divertida.

Yesterday afternoon, my house became a party. Angeles, who lives in Ibiza, came to my city Terrasas, and this was the "excuse" to organize a  meeting with miniaturist friends. And I took advantage of their good faith to give a workshop of making ice cream with polymer clay and a bread. 

As novice teacher, I have to say that all of them were very good students, unruly heh, heh...LOL, but very good. You will see the results and how beautiful mini ice creams they did.

Seven miniaturist came at home:  Angeles, Ascensión, Eva-Tatalamaru, Laura owner of a mini shop in Barcelona Evolve Miniaturas (if you come to Barcelona you have to go there),  Malu's (Mª Luisa mother and Malu daughter) and Yolanda. 

A lot of laughs, gifts, afternoon snacks, sparkling wine...all this plus the experience of giving a workshop, course something that I love, made it an unforgettable afternoon-evening and super fun.

We made so much noise that my son was hiding...heh, heh.

Mi primer curso - My First workshop

Pues si!! Este va a ser mi primer curso pero espero que no el último, porque tengo más proyectos en el tintero que aun no puedo desvelar pero que lo haré pronto. Aunque puedo avanzar que no van a ser de bisutería todos, espero que haya minis y otro tipo de trabajos. 

Pero todo a su tiempo. Este curso, nada difícil, es útil tanto para casas de muñecas como para hacerse unos pendientes desenfadados. Se realiza en Terrassa, en una preciosa tienda llena de cosas bonitas llamada Oh Mai gat!

Yes!!! My first worhsop although I hope that not the last one beacuse I have some project that I can not talk about yet but I would do it very soon. I can say that miniatures will be involved and other type of projects too, not only jewellery.

But step by step. This course, not difficult, is useful for dollhouse or just for achieving a beauriful earrings. It will be held in my city, Terrassa, in a beautiful shop called Oh mai Gat!

Mini Tu - Mini You

Me quedaba el jefe para terminar como regalo de despedida. Es (o casi era) el jefe pero siempre uno más del equipo. Lo terminé ayer noche y se lo he dado esta mañana así que la foto de su Mini Tú la saqué con demasiada poca luz :(
Aclarar que él si se lo merece aunque sea jefe. Todos los del equipo nos vamos a la calle y no es por su culpa. La multinacional donde trabajo ha vendido el negocio. Algunos pasan a la nueva empresa (la que compra) y otros no pasamos.

Ahora a empezar con los encargos de "Mini Tu" que ya tengo :) 

I had to finish the Mini You of my boss as a farewell gift. He is the boss (or almost not now) but always one more in the team. I finished yesterday at night and I have given to him this morning so the picture of his "mini You" was shoted with poor light :(
I want to clarify that he deserves his "Mini You" because it is not his fault that I will lose my job. All the team lose our job becuase our multinational, our company has sell our dvision. So Some of us will wotk for the new buyer, others (like me) not.
Now I have to start with the comissions that I already have :)

Mini Tu - Mini You

Esta es una sorpresa que hace más de un año preparaba, y me ha cogido el toro porque me han faltado un par de personas, los jefes...y que conste que son muy majos pero es que no he llegado a tiempo.

Son mis compañeros de trabajo, el equipo con el que estoy muchas horas al día. Como voy a tener que despedirme de ellos a finales de este mes quería despedirme a mi manera, porque son geniales y porque lo valen. Han sido 7 años muy buenos a su lado. Así que pensé que quería que tuviesen algo mío y me lié la manta a la cabeza y sin ningún tipo de formación, totalmente autodidacta, decidía hacer sus " Mini tu". Ellos en mini. Y aquí tenéis el resultado, como novata no está mal. La próxima vez lo haré mejor :)

This is a suprise that I was preparing long time ago, more or less one year...and finally I dd not have enough time to do all of them...missing the bosses...they are great too.

They are my coworks, the team which I spend a lot of hours every day. As I have to say them goodbay soon (end of this month) I would like to do it on my way, because they are absolutely great. I have spent with them 7 good years so I though I would like that they own something mine and here you have. I have been very brave, and without any course or training, I have done their "mini you". They in miniature.

This is the result, as a beginner I think that they are not too bad. Next time better!! :)

And today I habe been featured twice with the same Xmas miniature: my tray cookies with sleigh shape.

The first one in the Spanish miniature magazine "Miniaturas", in the special Xmas issue this December in the middle of very very talented miniaturist. My friend Ascensión is featured too :)

One of the trays is already sold but the other one is still available in my Etsy shop.

Mercado artesano - Open air handcraft market

Me gustaría empezar dando las gracias por las tantísimas muestras de cariño y soporte por el fallecimiento de mi madre. Hay días más duros que otros y pienso en ella constantemente. Tiempo al tiempo.
Por otro lado la misma semana del funeral supe que al fin con la venta de mi división de la compañía donde trabajo, yo soy una de las que no pasa a los nuevos compradores ya que son más pequeños. Así que el día 4 de Enero estaré en paro...je, je vaya semanita tuve...
Ahora toca plantearse cosas...tal vez una oportunidad....de momento incrementaremos mi trabajo con las miniaturas e intentaremos crecer en este mundo. Y ya veremos...siempre intentando lucir una sonrisa.


I would like to start by thanking all the messages with affection and support that I have received because my mother passed away. Some days are very tough and I think on her in every moment but...I need just time.
On the other hand the same week of the funeral, my boss had to explain that finaly I have lost my job because of the sell of the company. The news buyers are smaller and they not need all the people...What a nasty week...LOL So on January 4th I will be on the dole, out of work.
Now it is time to consider things...maybe an opportunity....I wiil increasemy time with miniature and try to grow in this world...and we will see...always trying to wear a smile.

Hoy, como cada primer sábado de mes, he ido al mercado de Artesanos de Valldoreix (Sant Cugat) que ha ido estupendamente. Mis compañeras de la mesa de al lado que hacen vitrales y objetos en vidrio super bonitos, me han regalo este precioso ciclamen (¡que guapas son!) para alegrarme un poco.

En 15 días volvemos con la Feria de Navidad de artesanos, 17 y 18 de Diciembre, allí en el Casal de Cultura de Valldoreix. Hoy ha sido un buen día, con ventas, viejos amigos, sol aunque con mucho viento.

Today, as every first Saturday of the month, I have participate in the Open air handcraft market in Valldoreix (close to Barcelona in Spain). My colleagues from the table next to me, that make stained glass and beautiful glass items, have given me this pretty cyclamen as a gift to cheer me up! 

In 15 days we will come back with the Xmas handcraft market.

Today has been a good market with sales, old friends, sunny although too much windy.
