Madrid y Jennifer (Windy Point Miniatures)

Ya pasó. La feria de Tom Bishop Madrid 2013 terminó hace unos días y yo aún estoy disfrutando de las sensaciones y de ese estado de felicidad al que se llega en los días previos-durante y post feria. Por supuesto siendo expositora también llevas un poco de estres, nervios y cansancio....mucho cansancio. pero el lado humano de las ferias es maravilloso, el volver a ver a la gente, en conocer a nueva, las risas, las palabras bonitas a tu trabajo....y el cansancio, mucho cansancio..¿os he dicho que estaba cansadísima? :)

Gracias, miles de gracias a todos los que habéis comprado, y os habéis llevado un pedacito de mí.

También miles de gracias por todos los regalitos que me habéis dado (aún no he hecho la foto, lo siento) y que seguro iré encontrando lugar para ellos, gracias a los que os acercasteis a saludar y a lo que siempre me decís cosas bonitas a través del blog o del Facebook, a esas incondicionales que tengo. Que ilusión volver a veros  o poneros cara después de hablar tantas veces por el ciber espacio. Gracias a mis vecinas de mesa (A Carme y Simón por un lado y a Madelva y a Esti por el otro). Gracias a los que sois más cercanos y que me preguntabais si necesitaba algo cada vez que pasabais....A las nuevas amistades como Estefanía y Juan, o Loredana Tonetti con la que he hablado más este año. Me reí mucho en las dos cenas...Begoña, Susi, Vicent, Angeles, Jennifer...Y en alguna que otra copa posterior con el gran grupo 

Las compras (fantásticas) ya las pondré otro día porque aún tengo pendientes varias que han llegad estos últimos meses y que son para mi nuevo proyecto personal.

Solo esta primera foto es mía y la hice antes de abrir, el resto son "robadas" a mis amigos Raquel, Migue y Paqui, Teresa...gracias

Pero este año Madrid ha tenido un plus....

It's over. Tom Bishop 's Fair 2013 Madrid ended few days ago and I am still enjoying the sensations and that state of happiness which is reached before during and post - show. Of course being an exhibitor also take some stress, nerves and tired .... very tired. but the human side of the fairs is wonderful,  see again friends, meet new ones, the laughs, the nice words about  your work and ....fatigue, very tired .. I told you that was so tired ? :)
Thanks, many thanks to all who have purchased , and I have taken a bit of me .
 Also many thanks for all the gifts you have given me (I have not yet made the photo, sorry) and surely I'll find room for them, thanks to those who came to my booth to say hello and those who always tell me nice things through blog or Facebook, those. It was so great see you again or link a face with a name after talking many times by cyberspace. Thanks to my neighbors (Carme and Simon on one side and Madelva and Esti on the other) . Thanks to those who are closest and that asked me if I needed anything (I was alone on my stand) .... A new friendships like Estefanía y Juan or Loredana Tonetti with whom I spoke this year.

But this year Madrid has had a plus ....

Madrid además ha sido un encuentro cultural entre Ivana y Jorgelina que llegaron de Argentina (son encantadoras) y mi dulce Jennifer (Windy Point miniatures) que llegó de Canadá y que el domingo por la noche se vino conmigo en el AVE a Barcelona y a pasar una noche en casa y depués estuvimos dos días recorriendo la ciudad. Me encantó estar con ella, disfruté mucho forjando una nueva amistad. Unos días fantásticos a su lado. Deseando ya volver a verla.

Madrid has also been a cultural encounter between Ivana and Jorgelina who came from Argentina (they are lovely) and my sweet Jennifer (Windy Point miniatures) who came from Canada and the Sunday night came with me on the AVE (high speed train) to Barcelona and spend a night at home. We spent two days touring the city too. I loved being with her, enjoyed forging a new friendship. Some great days at her side. Wishing to see her again.

Os muestro el fantástico trabajo en miniatura de Jennifer....Todo esto es mío!!! que feliz soy. Un trocito es comprado a Jennifer antes de la feria y el resto me lo regaló....Quedará de lujo en mi futura cocina...Todo es pequeñísimo, sobretodo los cubiertos y de una delicadeza extrema. I want to show the fantastic miniature work from Jennifer .... All this is mine! I'm veeery happy. Part of them were purchased from Jennifer before the Show and the rest was a gift ....Will look luxury in my future kitchen. Everything is tiny, especially cutlery and with extreme delicacy. Y por supuesto en Barcelona hubo miniquedada celebrando que Ivana, Jorgelina y Jennifer estaban en la ciudad. Jennifer y yo comimos además con la encantadora Mª Àngels ya que no pudo venir a la quedada.

And of course in Barcelona it was celebrated a  minimeeting taking advantage that our guests Ivana, Jorgelina and Jennifer were in town. Jennifer and I also had lunch with the lovely Maria Angels as they could not come to the minimeeting

¿Mi última Feria como expositora? My last Show as an exhibitor?

Tal vez es la respuesta. En una semana estaré en La Feria Internacional de Miniaturas de Madrid y tal vez será la última vez, al menos por un tiempo largo en que venda en persona mis miniaturas (así que aprovechad a quien le gusten je, je), dependerá del stock que me quede, del ajetreo de la vida diaria...pero necesito un respiro, relajarme. Mi tienda Etsy seguirá abierta para sacar todo el stock que queda (otras cosas me las quedaré yo), tal vez de vez en cuando haga una pieza para vender pero sin presiones...

Siento que en referencia a las miniaturas no lo hago mejor. Yo entiendo que para vender debes tener un mínimo de calidad y no tengo tiempo ahora para invertir en mejorar, en hacerlo bien. Hay tantos grandes artesan@s nacionales e internacional que no me veo a la altura muchas veces. Eso por un lado, por el otro lado es que no doy abasto con un nuevo trabajo "normal a sueldo" a tiempo completo (hace 3 meses y medio), del que estoy muy feliz en los tiempos que corren porque es una muy buena oportunidad. Necesito en el poco tiempo libre que me queda centrarme en mi pequeña familia, en cuidarme (más deporte), en reírme aún más y en disfrutar de las minis por que si, para mi (ya tengo proyectos y estoy comprando así que tal vez gaste más en Madrid de lo que gane :))

Yo ya se que cuando vuelva de Madrid estaré en una burbuja de felicidad (me pasa igual con la Feria de Barcelona) de lo bien que lo habré pasado y disfrutado porque esa resaca post Feria es genial pero también llevas presión, nervios....

Así que Vamos a disfrutar de la feria de Madrid, detrás de mi mesa, pasad a saludarme por favor...tengo algunas cosillas ya encargadas que voy a comprar para mi próximo proyecto :)

La Feria de Madrid siempre coincide con el aniversario de la muerte de mi madre (este año el viernes 22) pero creo que me ayuda a llevarlo.  También va a ser una feria especial porque a parte de volver a ver a toda esa gente maravillosa que tiene este mundillo, este año viene gente Internacional a vernos: Desde Canadá viene Jennifer de Windy Point Miniaturas y desde Argentina Ivana y Jorgelina. Las tres luego vienen a Barcelona  y el lunes siguiente a la Feria hay mini quedada. Así que será genial. Además Jennifer estará un par de días en mi casa y yo yo tengo un poco de vacaciones para hacer turismo juntas por Barcelona.

ESpero que os gusten las miniaturas que llevo a Madrid. Es muy importante también contaros que en un trocito de mi mesa habrá los preciosos personajes de Eli-Moti para que podáis comprarlos (ella no puedo estar presente esta vez). Más abajo tenéis las fotos de sus bebés y de una abuela genial.

Maybe is the the answer. In a week I will be in Madrid International Miniatures Show and perhaps it will be the last time, at least for a long time to sell my miniatures in person (so means that take advantge on the show to buy them...LOL ) , will depend on the stock that remains, the hustle of daily life ... but I need a break, relax. My Etsy shop will remain open to sell all remaining stock (other items will be for me ), maybe occasionally do a piece to sell but no pressure ...

I feel that in reference to the tminiatures I am not doing better. I understand that to sell must have a minimum quality and I have no time now to invest in improving, to do it better . There are so many great national and international miniatures and I am not at that level many times. That's one side, the other side is that I can not keep working with a new " normal salary " full time job ( 3 ½ months ago ), which I am very happy at these times because it is a very good chance. I Need to spend my free time not only in miniatures, I have to focus on my little family, take care of myself (more sport), more laughs and enjoy the minis just as a hobby (and I have projects so I am buying miniatures. Maybe I will spend in Madrid more money than I will earn :) )

I already know that when I return to Madrid I will be in a bubble of happiness ( I get the same feeling with the Barcelona Fair ) because  is great but also means pressure , nerves ....

So Let's enjoy the show in Madrid, behind my table, come to say hello please ... I have already ordered some stuff  for my next project :)

The Madrid Sow always coincide with the anniversary of the death of my mother (this year on Friday 22 ) but I think that helps me carry it. It will also be a special show because apart from seeing all those wonderful people who have in this world (mainly Spanish miniature community), this year some International people come to see us : From Canada comes Jennifer  from Windy Point Miniatures and from Argentina, Ivana and Jorgelina . The three of them will come to Barcelona after the Show and the next Monday we have mini meetup. So it will be great. Jennifer also be a couple of days to my house and I I have a little vacation for touring together for Barcelona.

I hope you like the miniatures that I will bring to Madrid. It is also important to tell you that in a piece of my table there will be the wonderful babys of  Eli - Moti so you can buy them there ( She can not be there this time) . Below are the photos of their babies and great grandmother .

Casitas de jengibre en miniatura - Gingerbread house in miniature

Este sábado, 16 de Noviembre por la mañana, impartiré un taller de casitas de jengibre en miniatura para casitas de muñecas, o para colgarlas en el árbol de navidad o para hacerte un collar con ellas. Trabajaremos la arcilla polimérca y diferentes formas de decorarlas como los ejemplos que os muestro.

A Anna de Petit Antiquari le compré este precioso sofá al que ya había echado el ojo en Etsy y que incluye los tres cojines del centro. También compré los dos cojines de las puntas. El resto: la rosa, el precioso diario atado, el jaboncito en forma de rosa y el delantal fue un grandisonar regalo que ella me hizo. Un millón de gracias!!

I bought this pretty sofa to Anna from petit Antiquari (that I already have seen in her Etsy shop) and that include the 3 cushions in the middle. I bought also the othe rtwo. the rest: rose, pretty book, the tinist sopar with rose shape and the apron were gifts from her. Thank you

Por fin conocí a Susi y a Vicent de Mini Edén, les tenía muchas ganas. Son fantásticos y muy buena gente. Me quedé prendad de ellos.Y como no , me moría por ver su trabajo en vivo y en directo. Me compré el colgador de forja negro, los dos coladores y el precio colgador-gancho con forma de gallo. los botecitos fueron un fantástico regalo.
I finally and happily I met Susi and Vicent from Mini Eden. They are fantastic and very nice people. And of course I was dying to see their work in live. I bought the black iron pot rack, two strainers and the pretty hook with rooster shape. The two jars were a great gift.
