I have finished the scene related with the magic and with the witches: the witchy bookcase.

Actually it has ended being divided in to parts: a bookcase and a world of elves and trees that are alive.

It has been a pleasure to do it, because I have had a lot of fun, because of the subject matter, because I have made something different and because it is full of friends' gifts that remind me that our mini blogosphere is so nice, the kindness and the gift of giving without waiting for anything in exchange. This scene has helped me to forge new friendships and to consolidate others.

I would like to say that this scene is dedicated to Nikki that gave me a huge amount of material and stuff to be able to do it. There is a lot of details that remind me to her. So Nikki, this post is a big THANK YOU to you.

Papillon blog, has launched the idea of posting on France, her home country.
What does France mean to each one of us ?
As Rosanna said in her blog for me France is more or less 2-3 hours far from my home too.

Of course Carcassone, a worls full of history, fantasy and very very crowded

Castles, the Cathars, in unbelievable places, hanging from the sky over the world...

Amazing canyons like Les Gorges de St. George or the spectacular Gorges de Galamus...

Lagos y ríos donde zmbullirse y jugar... Rivers and lakes where to swim and play...

Los Reyes Magos - Three Wise Men (also referred to as the Three Kings, and as the Magi)

Tomorrow is one of the most important Christmas Spanish traditions and when Christmas will be over in my country.

One of the most entrenched traditions in the Spanish culture is the celebration of the king’s night, when children and adults are filled with illusions and hopes. The Cavalcade is a parade on each January 5th (today) that is carried out in large and small cities in Spain. It is to represent the route that toured the Magi from Bethlehem to find baby Jesus following the star which pointed the way.
Tonight we will go to follow the parade to see the Three wise man and to receive sweets from them.
Before going to sleep, children (of course we too) put some milk (or wine for the kings), biscuits next to the Christmas tree and some water for their camels. We also leave out our best pair of shoes to be filled with presents.
:)

But few days before, children helped by adults, write a letter to the Kings of The Orient (the three wise man), in which they detail, more or less, their behavior during the year (although the Kings already know) and which reflect their illusions and yearnings for the New Year. Also they write the gifts they want to receive. Closed the letter with really excitment, it's time to deliver it to the Kings. The letter can reach their Majesties by different paths. The first was delivered by hand to royal page, one of the most funs, beautiful and exciting. . The king’s pages mounted the stage in which Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar receive children to take their letters and hear what gifts they want to receive, after verifying that they have behaved well and have been good. My son did it yesterday...

Tomorrow, 6 January children wake up (believe when I say sooo early in the morning)and see how many presents they have received. If they have been good, they will find a lot of good presents but if they have been naughty they will find coal. These days, the coal is actually made of sugar, but some years ago it was real coal.

During this day, all families enjoy a piece of roscon (a sugar-frosted fruit-filled bread) for breakfast or as a lunch dessert. The tradition says that the person who finds a novelty such as a small china (normally one of the Kings) in his or her portion can wear the crown an will have good luck for the next year but if you find a "bean" you must pay "The Roscón".

All of us (kids and adults) enjoy opening their presents on this day, but sadly it also marks the end of Christmas.

The Kings night is one of my best memories of my chilhood, absolutely exciting.

Tomorrow some pictures... :)

Regalos - Gifts

These beautiful flowers have travelled from Singapore, Sans has sent them.
As I told her, they came in a good moment. On December 31 I had been cooking the whole day because I had guest for the day after (Lunch 1st January), again. I was busy in the kitchen, preparing small gifts for each one, the preparation of the table....
My son had a bit of fever and my husband was very tired because he has been working the whole week and he wakes up at 5:15am...
In general not bad at all but I had not a lot of fun.
Finally I decided to go out to buy the bread and few things more than I needed. and when I returned in house I looked on the mailbox and ......................... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Her flowers were waiting for me .... and I smile, smile... and when I entered at home I was wearing a big smile.

I do not know why I forgot to show you these gifts, I am sorry. At the end of November we had a mini friends meeting in Yolanda's house. There we were a few mini-friends: Yolanda, Ascension, Irene and myself speaking about miniatures, sharing laughs and gifts.:). As you can see some gifts are for my witchy bookcase and others for future projects. We had a great time together :)
