Intercambio de Navidad - Christmas SWAP

Se acerca la Navidad y yo participo en mi primer intercambio en circulo de Navidad. Rosanna (de la Stanza di Giuggiola) ha sido muy maja al organizarlo y darnos las bases:

-Un solo regalo (eso es perfecto porque sino yo no hubiese tenido tiempo de participar)

-No puede ser ni rojo ni verde

-Debe de estar enviado en un recipiente inusual

-Y debe enviarse a nuestra amiga navideña como máximo el 5 de Diciembre para que correos pueda hacer su trabajo y lo tengamos todas a tiempo.

Grandes miniaturistas y fantásticas personas participan en el intercambio.

Mateo, el hijo de Rosanna, hizo el sorteo de nombres (aquí podéis ver todos los detalles) y mi regalo irá parar a la Navidad de Sylvia en Holanda, de Lotjesdollhouse (¡dios mío que responsabilidad tengo!) y yo tengo la suerte de recibir un regalo de la gran Debie Lyons de Piskies and Poppets.

En realidad creo que todas las que participamos tenemos mucha suerte porque todas daremos lo mejor y además nos divertiremos.

Así que en pocas semanas podréis empezar a ver las fotos de los regalos de Navidad que se intercambiaran.

Christmas is every time closer and I participate in my first circle Christmas SWAP. Rosanna, from la Stanza di Giuggiola, has been very kind on organized it and to give us the rules:
- Only one gift (it is perfect for me because if not I had not enough time to take part)

- can be neither red nor green

- must be sent in an unusual container

- and our gift must be sent to our Christmas friend maximum on December 5th in order that the postmans could do their work and all of us have them on time.
Big miniaturists and fantastic people take part in the SWAP.
Mateo, the Rosanna' son, did the drawing name (here you can see all the details) and my gift will go to Sylvia's Christmas in Holland ( Lotjesdollshouse ). What a big responsibility because her work and blog are wonderful! And I am soooooooo lucky to receive a gift from the great Debie Lyons from Piskies and Poppets.

Actually I believe that all of us are very lucky because I am sure that we will do our best creating a Christmas miniature and we will have a lot of fun as well.
So in a few weeks you will start seeing the photos of the gifts circle Christmas SWAP.

Gran sorpresa de Nikki - Big suprise from Nikki

Hace unas semanas le pedí ayuda a Nikki (de Witch And Wizard Miniatures) con mi libreria mágica ya que ella hace una miniatures increibles. Y tengo que decir que Nikki fue muy amable y encantadora.
Esta semana he recibido un gran paquete de su parte. Cuando lo abrí me quedé con la boca abierta y rapidamente empecé a bailar la danza de la felicidad en mi cocina. Y a cantar (y yo canto muy mal ) por lo que mi marido vino a ver lo que estaba sucediendo. Demasiados regalos preciosos Nikki!.
Yo no podía dejar de exclamar ¡Mira esto! Y esto! Y hay pociones! Yel fantástico telecospio que hace Nikki! y calaveras! y ..... Me siento como una niña con una gran cantidad de juguetes nuevos. Creo que voy a utilizar todo el material, que me viene fenomenal para mi proyecto, y a demás tengo más material para varias escenas de brujas. Simplemente maravilloso. Un inmenso GRACIAS Nikki.

Some weeks ago I asked Nikki (from Witch and Wizard Miniatures) for some help with my witchy bookcase because she makes incredible miniatures and Nikki was so kind and charming.
This week I got a big package from her. When I opened my mouth fell opened and quickly began to dance the dance of joy in my kitchen. And sing (and I sing very badly ) so my husband came to see what was happening. Too many precious goodies Nikki!, I could not stop to shout: look at this! And that! And there are potions! And the amazing Nikki's telescope! and skulls! and ..... I feel like a kid with a lot of new toys. I think I will use all the material because is great for my project and also I have more material for several scenes of witches. Just wonderful. A big THANK YOU Nikki

Y ahora a empezar a pintar...ai, ai!!
Gracias por todos los consejos que me distéis para mejorar el árbol, sobretodo tengo que agradecer a Nikki su ayuda. He intentado afinar las ramas (y he añadido una) y he cambiado las raíces, haciéndolas más cortas y también más finas. El rostro lo he dejado tal cual porque no tengo suficiente destreza para hacer salga lo que quiero :)
Como veis también me he atrevido con la cabeza de un duende...ahora le falta un poco de pintura, pelo, un gorrito...

Thanks for all the advice you gave me to improve the tree, I especially thank Nikki for her help.. I tried to refine the branches (and I added one) and I re-sculpt the roots, making them shorter and thinner. The face I have left it was because I do not have enough dexterity to make out what I want:)
As you see I have ventured also with a head of a leprechaun ... now ne needs some paint, hair, a tiny hat ...

Bandejas, galletas y bombones - Trays, cookies and chocolates

Aquí estoy de nuevo. Creo que estos dias estoy un poco hiperactiva haciendo miniaturas...espero que me pase en unos dias porque tengo un montón de ropa por planchar...:)
Una compañera del foro de miniaturas, Marver, me regaló unas bandejas metálicas totalmente negras. Las pinté en rosa claro y con decoupage les he añadido unas flores para darles un aire romático.
Hoy hemos tenido un dia terriblemente lluvioso, así que a la salida del colegio hemos venido directamente a casa y he pensado que era un buen momento para probar de hacer mis primeras galletas con glaseado. Así que aquí tenéis el resultado (con flash y sin flash...) de mi hornada: unas buenas bandejas de galletas de mantequilla y de chocolate glaseadas y unos bombones de chocolate con leche. ¿Os apetecen?

Here I am again. I think these days I'm a little bit hyperactive doing miniatures ... I hope finish in a few days because I have a lot of pending ironing ... LOL
A mini friend from a Spanish miniatures group, Marver, gave me a totally black metal trays. I have painted it in pink and I have added some flowers with decoupage, to give a romantic look.
We had a terribly rainy day (this is Spain so is not frequent), so after picking my son up from school we have come straight to home and I have thought it was a good time to try to make my first cookies with icing. So here is the result of my batch (with and without flash...): butter chocolate glazed cookies and some chocolates. Do you want to taste it?

Regalo de Kathleen - Gift from Kathleen

A finales de Septiembre Kathleen de "Little Thoughts from an Average Mind", decidió hacer un regalo-sorteo para su cumpleaños. Las miniaturas que sorteaba eran: una casita de pájaros con forma de calabaza, un juguete arrastrador de Halloween con un gato, y una corona de flores de otoño mini. Y ... yo fui la afortunada ganadora .... Yuuuuuuupiiiiiiiiii!!
El paquete ha llegado hoy con el correo.
Muchas muchas gracias, son tan tan hermosas las miniaturas, más que en imágenes. Y tan pequeñas!!.
Estoy muuuuuuy feliz.
Hoy fue un día muy lluvioso aquí en España, y el regalo ha hecho que sea brillante.


At the very end of September Kathleen from Little Thoughts from an Average Mind, decided to have a giveaway for her birthday. The miniatures that she draw: A pumpkin bird house, a Halloween cat pull toy, and a mini autumn wreath. And... Iwas the lucky winner....Yeeeeeeeepeeeeeeeee!!
The parcel has arrived today with the mail.
Many many thanks, they are so so beautiful, more than in pictures. And tiny so, so tiny.
I am soooooooooooooooo happy.
Today was a very rainy day here in spain, and the gifts have make it brilliant.

Consejo - Advice

Hola, pues necesito vuestro consejo. Aquí tenéis mi bautizo con el moldeado de figuras y caras. Compré prosculpt y me he lanzado. Es mi primer intento y por si no se ve claro es un árbol con rostro para mi escena-librería de brujería. He seguido algunos fantásticos tutoriales pero...
¿Cómo lo véis? ¿da un poco de respeto? ¿parece lo que tiene que parecer? ¿Lo repito?
Todavía no está horneado (con lo cual puedo canviar cosas) y por supuesto falta pintarlo, que estoy segura ganará mucho. A mi me gusta pero a lo mejor soy yo sola....si es que estoy indecisa...
¡Socorro! ¡Ayuda! :)
Lo que está claro es que creo que puede provocar adicción y que me lo estoy pasando en grande.

Hello, I need your advice. Here is my baptism with the sculpintg of faces and other shapes. I bought prosculpt and I have started to use it. This is my first attempt and if it is not clear is a tree with a face for my witchcraft scene-bookcase. Of course I have follow some great tutorials but...
How do you see it? Do you think that gives a little of respect? Does it seem a tree with a fece? Do you think that it is better to repeat it?
It is not yet baked (so I can change or resculpt things) and of course I will paint it. I'm sure that painted will look better.
I like it but maybe just me .... I am undecided ...
SOS, Help me!!!! :)

Por fin he terminado la escena dedicada al Mediterráneo. Como véis no es muy grande aunque está bien llena de cosas relacionadas con el mar y lo náutico. Prácticamente todo está hecho por mi, menos todas las conchas, caracolas y mini esqueletos de erizos (que me envió Sabiha desde Holanda y que son un mini tesoro para mi ya que soy bióloga) ya que son reales.
También hay preciosos regalos de Sabiha, de Marver, de Carmen y el jacinto que lo compré a Mavi Fernández.
Me lo he pasado genial haciéndola y me gusta el resultado, la verdad. Ahora probablemente la llevaré a que me pongan un marco con cristal para evitar que se llene de polvo.
Me han sobrado minis naúticas, de regalo y de producción propia, así que quien sabe si más adelante me animo a hacer otra escena de temática marinera.

Finally I have finished the scene related with the Mediterranean. As you can see is not very large but is full with things related to the sea and nautica theme. Almost everything has been done by me, except all the shells, sea snails and mini-skeletons of sea urchins (which Sabiha sent from Holland and are a mini treasures for me because I am a biologist :) ) that they are real.

Also there are precious gifts from Sabiha, Marver, Carmen and I bought a hyacinth from Mavi Fernandez.
I have had a lot of fun doing it and I like the result, really. Now probably I'll put a frame with glass to keep dust out of.
I have some leftover (nautical minis , gifts and self-produced), so who knows if later on I try to do other marine-themed scene.
